Ruby Wax has shared details about her disastrous interview with Donald Trump. The 73-year-old presenter was tasked with interviewing the now-President on his private plane back in 2000.
In what she previously described as one of her "excruciating career moments", Ruby revealed how she struggled to engage with Trump. According to her, things took a turn when she laughed at him as he expressed his hopes of becoming President.
Speaking on the Outsiding podcast with Adam Frost and Caitlin Moran, she told the hosts that he "hated my guts straight away". This comes after Melania was accused of snubbing her husband again after skipping events with him.

"I was just not as beautiful as he wanted," she claimed. "And so he saw no point of me on earth. He treated me like total s**t.
"And then he said he wanted to be president of the United States, so I started laughing, thinking the guy is a comic. And then he said, ‘Get her off the plane'."
She went on to insist that Trump believed she was "an idiot", so she "became one" and asked him "really stupid questions".

"And he said, ‘You're angry with a smile, aren't you?’ And he nailed me. Because I was with daddy, and daddy was thinking, 'Have I given birth to a dude?' It was the same look, so I retracted and I became the five-year-old with my dad saying, You're never going anywhere, you're a sad sack’.

"And I was with him again. And I completely went back to that," she explained. "Nothing would come out. Nothing, or stupid things. So he was kind of right to throw me off the plane."
Reflecting on the moment in her BBC series When Ruby Wax Met..., she said she acted the way she did because Trump "scared" her. "I wasn't as funny as I could be," she explained.
"It was less and less funny and more and more aggressive, but it was too daunting with him."
Footage from their interview showed Trump ending the chat, claiming he was going upstairs because he had a headache.

In response, Ruby asked him: "Do you hate me?", to which he replied: "No, I think you're fun but it's enough," before asking her to move out of his way.
"I think it's enough, you know, it's like a comedy routine," he added before walking off.
Ruby says she had a better experience with Melania Trump during a separate interview. At the time, the First Lady was dating Trump while still working as a model.
Recalling her encounter with Melania, Ruby described her as "innocent" and said she "loved" her.
"She was a young model and she was frisky and she told me how much she loved him and how great the sex was," Ruby recalled. She went on to say that while she found Trump to have "charisma", she believed he was "an animal".
