Josie Weaver discovered a man in modern-looking clothing in her grandfather’s 1960s Disneyland photos

The photo, shared on TikTok, sparked online speculation about a possible “time traveler”

Weaver’s grandfather, Tom Eubank, captured the photos during a cross-country trip with a camera he bought while in the Navy

While looking through her grandfather’s vintage photos from a 1960s trip to Disneyland, a woman made a mind-bending discovery that has internet sleuths convinced she spotted a “time traveler” in the Happiest Place on Earth.

While bouncing between a few odd jobs this summer, Josie Weaver, 30, tells PEOPLE she made it a regular practice to head over to her grandparents’ Arcanum, Ohio, house for lunch. During one of those breaks, Weaver’s grandpa, Tom Eubank, 84, asked for help selling his old Canon camera online.

Having never even known it existed, Weaver was intrigued. The pair then went on to find the film and a projector and a classic game of show and tell ensued.

Eubank tells PEOPLE he first acquired the camera in 1963 while he was on board a Navy ship in the Mediterranean. He kept the device throughout his deployment, capturing snaps of his uniform and the scenery on the Isle of Capri.

From there, the camera went on to travel with him on a French Alps ski trip and in 1968, a trip across the western United States, including stops in Arizona and California.

“I would have been 26 years old and I went with what is my ex-wife now,” Eubank says. “She had an aunt that lived in Arizona — Phoenix, also one in Long Beach, Calif. So we went to visit them and then we also took a trip up to San Francisco for a few days.”

The trip also included a stop at Disneyland, which had opened only 13 years prior. Since her other set of grandparents lived in Florida near Disney World, Weaver was thrilled to see vintage photos from the park’s past — especially the stark differences in the meet-and-greet characters’ costumes.

“I was really excited when the Disneyland photos popped up because I’ve never been to Disneyland, but I spent so much time at Disney World,” she says. “I love the old Disney-like nostalgia and stuff like that so it was really exciting to see that.”

But that wasn’t all that jumped out at Weaver. Featured predominantly in a photo from New Orleans Square was a man dressed in modern-looking apparel from today.

“That was so funny because the picture popped up and he was like front and center,” Weaver says. “And it just looked like someone that we would see out and about now.”

She adds: “And he looked so different. To me, he looked so different to everyone around him, especially with his haircut — it was like faded on the side.”

Weaver recorded the discovery and shared it with her followers on TikTok on Aug. 25, amassing over 197,000 likes and more than 1,200 comments. Many users agreed the individual looked out of place for the time period. But Weaver says some simply likened his appearance to being “European” or just “ahead of the times.”

Whether or not Weaver is the first to catch on to a time-traveling conspiracy at Disneyland, she says it’s been “really neat” to see a lot of other nostalgic family vacation photos in her comments.

“People call me dramatic about how excited I can get sometimes about things. Even my grandma was like, ‘These are just old photos.’ She was so surprised that people were so excited about it,” Weaver explains to PEOPLE. “People yearn sometimes for that nostalgia… so I think that it was cool that a lot of people were really comforted by seeing those.”
