Celebrities had fun on and off the stage at the 2026 Emmys.
Stars posed together backstage and in L.A.’s Peacock Theater as the awards show took place.
Behind-the-scenes photos include the likes of Matthew Rhys, Nicole Kidman, and Zendaya.
From Mariska Hargitay’s hosting gig to winners’ speeches and perfectly paired presenters, the 2026 Emmys were a night to remember.
And in addition the various happenings on stage, celebrities were making memories behind the scenes they reunited with current and former costars, friends, and family members in the industry.
Nicole Kidman, for one, met up with her Big Little Lies costar Shailene Woodley, while Elle Fanning and her sister, Dakota Fanning, sat together inside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. And who else but double winner Matthew Rhys would mix and mingle with colleagues in celebration of his historic night?
Backstage, Rhys told reporters his two acting wins for limited series The Beast in Me and comedy series Widow’s Bay still hadn’t “sunk in.” He admitted, “[I’m] stumbling for words, because I really don’t have them at the moment ... I really can’t quite believe it.”

Rhys, who is now the first person to win lead acting prizes in all three genres, noted he hoped the celebrations to follow would be “long, varied, and I hope, at times, wild.” (He previously won Lead Actor in a Drama Series for The Americans in 2018.)
And Rhys wasn’t the only one who enjoyed their time during TV’s biggest night. Below, see behind-the-scenes photos of the 2026 Emmys:
