- Shailene Woodley was asked about her ex Aaron Rodgers’ wild comments regarding their 2021 engagement and subsequent split.

- The quarterback recently claimed that the actress wanted “to go f--- this guy” before the couple tied the knot.

- Within three months, Rodgers alleged, Woodley stopped wearing her engagement ring.

If silence is golden, then Shailene Woodley’s reaction to being asked about Aaron Rodgers is priceless.

The *Paradise* guest star and recent Emmy winner was on her way into a pre-Emmys fundraiser on Sunday night when a brave reporter shouted out a question regarding her ex-fiancé’s shocking claims about their 2021 engagement and subsequent split.

“Any comment about Aaron Rodgers?” asked the woman in a video published by TMZ.

Woodley stopped in her tracks, turned to the voice, and laughed.

While it may not seem like much, Woodley’s lighthearted reaction to such a personal question says a lot. After all, she famously had a terse response to simply being asked if she was hungry at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

Last week, Rodgers didn’t hold back while discussing the demise of their relationship on the *Not Just Football With *Cam Heyward podcast.

“I propose, and she says yes,” the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback recalled of his December 2021 engagement to the *Fault in Our Stars* actress. “She maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no.”

Woodley said yes, but allegedly added a caveat. “Not a couple days after that, she tells me, you know, ‘Before we get married I got to go f--- this guy,’” said Rodgers, who claims to have a wife no one has ever seen publicly.

Within three months of their engagement, Rodgers said, Woodley stopped wearing the diamond ring.

“Her story is that I ruined her life and gave her a crazy depression because I left her,” Rodgers said. But after the ring came off, it was the beginning of the end. “We had a couple of times where we tried to, you know, get reunited, and nothing ever happened.”

Woodley opened up about the split in 2024, describing it as “traumatic.”

“I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy,” she told *Outside*. “I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”

In the same interview, the actress said the breakup happened in 2022, but Rodgers countered her version of events to Heyward.

“There wasn’t even a relationship in ’22 to break off,” he claimed. “She literally told me, ‘I don’t want to be with you,’ after we tried to have some sort of reconciliation in 2021.”
