Selena Gomez debuted red curls on Instagram, likely a wig for her role in Only Murders in the Building

Fans praised the bold hair transformation, with many loving the copper shade on the singer and actress

The Hulu series is confirmed for a sixth season, with the cast currently filming in London

Selena Gomez is experimenting with a new look.

The singer and actress, 33, surprised fans by tucking a hair transformation in an Instagram carousel featuring her summer adventure in London shared on Tuesday, June 2.

"Wild things happening with @onlymurdershulu while adoring london 💕," Gomez captioned the post, which included several snaps from the set of the Hulu show, which costars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Near the end of the carousel, Gomez revealed a brand new hair color. In one selfie, she's sitting cross-legged on a bed wearing a black tank top and gray sweatpants. Her usual dark brunette locks are replaced with red curls.

The photo is followed by a video of the Disney Channel alum sporting the new look while lounging on a bed and filming herself through a mirror.

While it's likely that the hair change is a wig for filming Only Murders in the Building, fans are loving the copper shade.

"The red hair??!!! helloooo," one person wrote.

"OMG THE WIG!! I LOVE THAT COLOR ON YOU 😍," said another.

A third added, "Ohhhh the hair ! 😍"

Prior to the season 5 finale in October 2025, Deadlinereported that the series' sixth season could be set at least in part on an entirely new continent, and the following day, the cast confirmed they're indeed jet-setting off to London.

"Well, looks like our fam is going to London y'all," Gomez wrote on her Instagram Stories.

In March, the singer shared a black-and-white photo with her, Martin, 80, and Short, 76, on Instagram Stories, showing the trio sitting on the floor together.

"My favorite guys," Gomez wrote over the snap. "I'll always be there for them as they have been for me."

"Love you Steve and I love you Marty," she concluded.
