After several months of “healing” as a family, Scott Wolf and his estranged wife Kelley are ultimately ending their marriage.

The couple, who first separated in June 2025, told PEOPLE in a joint statement they’ve “decided to move forward with our divorce.” Since early spring, the two had been “home together as a family, focusing on healing, rebuilding and finding stability after an extraordinarily difficult season.”

In February, the former couple reunited for a family day at Universal Studios Hollywood with their three children: Jackson, 17, Miller, 13, and Lucy, 12. Scott and Kelley both shared a snapshot of their own party of five, all smiling as they posed in front of the park’s iconic globe fountain.

Just five months earlier, the Wolf family had been “in some kind of awful dark place,” described the *Doc* actor.

In September, a court ordered Kelley, who appeared on MTV’s *The Real World: New Orleans*, to spend 60 days in a mental health facility following months of erratic behavior she recently revealed was diagnosed as “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis.”

It began days after Scott and Kelley separated after 21 years of marriage.

The mother of three was placed on a “5150” psychiatric hold in Utah as Scott filed a restraining order against her (which he later dropped). Two months later in August, Kelley was arrested on allegations of online harassment of her estranged husband, his friends, and family. Subsequently, she violated a protective order prohibiting her from contacting Scott or the children.

“It’s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help,” Kelley revealed in an Aug. 28 social media post. “My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal.”

Now, as they move ahead with ending their marriage, they’re reflecting on the good memories as husband and wife  — and those yet to come as parents to Jackson, Miller, and Lucy.

“Our hearts are heavy, but they are also filled with gratitude for the years we spent together, for all that we shared and built, for our loving marriage, and most of all, for our incredible children,” Scott and Kelley told PEOPLE.

“To everyone who has supported us and sent love and prayers for the healing of our family, we are deeply grateful,” they continued. “We now move forward into this next chapter, guided by love as co-parents to our children, and by our shared commitment to the best and brightest future for our family.”
