- ESPN’s Pat McAfee dishes on what it’s like to watch football in a shared suite with Tom Cruise and Taylor Swift.
- “Watching them experience a game was fantastic,” said the host of *The Pat McAfee Show*.
- McAfee admitted Monday night’s game was the first time he “really” met Swift, despite attending her and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
What’s it like being in the same room with Tom Cruise and Taylor Swift? Very sweaty, if you’re Pat McAfee.
The ESPN personality got the chance of a lifetime to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos from Travis Kelce’s very own family suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The VIP section included the tight end’s new wife, mother-in-law Andrea Swift, brother Jason Kelce, mother Donna Kelce — and the world’s biggest movie star.
“I potentially talked to Tom Cruise last night,” *The Pat McAfee Show* host shared on Tuesday’s episode. “I got a chance to chit-chat with Miss Taylor Swift last night. Huge day… I’ll tell you, I was dripping in sweat.”
The weather in Kansas City peaked at 95 degrees not long before kickoff, and McAfee was dressed in a suit jacket to co-anchor ESPN’s *Monday Night Countdown*.
By the time he made it up to the Kelce suite, he was drenched in sweat. Naturally, the first people he bumped into were the 14-time Grammy winner and her mother-in-law.
“Legend, how are you?” McAfee greeted Donna Kelce. But before he could say hello to Swift she gave him a big, now-sweaty hug.

“This is how I’m meeting Taylor Swift for the first time really,” he admitted, despite attending her star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden in July. “[I] just sweat all over her.”
As for the *Mission: Impossible* superstar — who was also present at the Swift-Kelce nuptials — he was as cool as a cucumber despite the Missouri heat.
“He had a leather jacket on and didn’t have a single drop or bead of sweat anywhere,” marveled McAfee. The moment Cruise left, the sports analyst asked how that was possible. The answer: “He’s *the* movie star. He doesn’t sweat, dude.”

Inside the family suite, McAfee revealed to his viewers, there was candied bacon courtesy of Andrea Swift for everyone to enjoy.
But the new Mrs. Kelce was totally engrossed in the game. “She’s all in,” said McAfee, who noted Swift was following “every snap.”

And in the third quarter, when her husband caught a 59-yard pass and ran it all the way down to the Broncos’ 4-yard line, the room erupted in cheer.
“That was the most ‘into it’ suite we’ve ever been in,” said McAfee. “Watching them experience a game was fantastic.”
But the best moment was saved for last. “On the way out, I go, ‘Miss Taylor, is there any way I can get a selfie with you?’” McAfee recounted. “She said, ‘Absolutely.’ She was so kind, so hospitable.”
