Neagley just dropped its first Rotten Tomatoes score, and it’s not quite keeping up with the parent show just yet. Here’s how the Maria Sten-led spinoff’s critical reception stacks up against all four seasons of Alan Ritchson’s Reacher.

How does Neagley’s Rotten Tomatoes score compare to Reacher?

The Neagley spinoff currently holds a 90% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 20 critic reviews. That places it behind all four individual seasons of its parent series, Reacher, according to the review aggregator. However, the score could still shift as more reviews come in.

Reacher Season 1 earned a 92% approval rating from 74 critic reviews. Season 2 and Season 3 both reached 98%, based on 44 and 46 reviews respectively. Season 4, which concluded on September 16, 2026, sits at 94% from 33 reviews. The parent series carries an overall average Tomatometer of 95%.

Neagley’s 90% score draws from a smaller review sample than any Reacher season. The spinoff has collected 20 reviews compared to Season 1’s 74. A handful of additional positive reviews could push the score closer to Reacher Season 1’s 92%. That gap remains narrow enough to close as critics continue filing their assessments.

The spinoff premiered on September 16, 2026, with all eight episodes dropping at once on Prime Video. Maria Sten leads the series as Frances Neagley, reprising her role from Reacher. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton created the show and serve as co-showrunners. Alan Ritchson also appears as Jack Reacher in a guest-starring role.

On Metacritic, Neagley holds a weighted average score of 69 out of 100 from 12 critics. That matches Reacher Season 1’s Metacritic score of 69 from 19 reviews exactly. Seasons 2 through 4 of Reacher all scored higher on Metacritic, with 79, 77, and 77 respectively.

The spinoff faces a steeper climb on that platform to match the parent show’s later seasons.
