Miley Cyrus is marking the release week of her tenth studio album, “Bass Persuades,” with one of her boldest images yet in Valentino. Stylist Bradley Kenneth shared the striking black-and-white portrait on Instagram, captioning it simply “BP album release week.”

Miley Cyrus’s pose keeps the black-and-white shot tasteful while still leaning fully into its daring styling. In the photo, Cyrus poses completely nude aside from a black Valentino leather cap and matching leather gloves.

She sits with her knees drawn up and her arms crossed over them. Her tattoos are visible throughout, adding texture to the monochrome image alongside the glossy leather accessories.

The stripped-back styling fits the era Cyrus has built around “Bass Persuades,” out September 18 via Atlantic Records. It’s her first project released under the mononym Miley, and she’s described the album as a mix of heartbreak and self-love.

She has said the title reflects “heart full, heartache, every part of life in between.” The rollout has already included several daring fashion moments, including a Saint Laurent jumpsuit paired with a tiny silhouette and an equally revealing bra-and-briefs look shared to promote the title track.

Beyond the album itself, Cyrus has also announced a pair of live shows at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18, marking her first return to the stage in some time. The announcement comes shortly after she marked the 20th anniversary of “Hannah Montana,” the Disney Channel show that first made her famous as a kid.

Fans reacted quickly to the new image, with the post racking up hundreds of likes within hours. Comments included fire emojis and messages calling the picture their favorite from the rollout so far.

Cyrus has leaned heavily into stripped-down, skin-baring styling throughout this album campaign, treating each new post as another visual extension of the record’s themes.
