The movie “was just such a dream to make,” says Debicki, praising its lead actor, Brad Pitt
Elizabeth Debicki has plenty of exciting upcoming projects, and her movie with Brad Pitt may just top the list.
“I just wrapped on [David] Fincher's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel, which was just such a dream to make,” the British actress tells PEOPLE exclusively at the Jan. 24 Sundance Film Festival premiere of her movie Wicker.
“I absolutely loved it,” Debicki, 35, says of The Adventures of Cliff Booth.
The sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 hit Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that sees Pitt, 62, reprising the role that won him his Best Supporting Actor Academy Award. Fincher, 63, took the reins as director, with Scott Caan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Carla Gugino also starring. Tarantino wrote the script.

“We shot it for nearly six months in L.A., and I just adored, adored working with David, just love him to pieces,” Debicki says. Of course, the same is true for Pitt.
“And I loved working with Brad,” Debicki says with a grin. “In his absolutely iconic role, yeah, it was a joy… I was very, very happy on that job.”

The Crown Emmy winner stars in writer-directors Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson’s Wicker with Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård and Peter Dinklage. It’s one of several upcoming screen projects for Debicki, who recently appeared opposite Colman and Tom Hiddleston in season two of the spy thriller The Night Manager.
What else is Debicki manifesting in 2026?
“Just more work,” she tells PEOPLE. “I'm an actor, you know?”

While she acknowledges that “there's not a lot of things you can control in life,” Debicki adds, “you can be particular about the people you gather around you, which is very important, and how honest and kind they are.”
Netflix will reportedly release The Adventures of Cliff Booth later in 2026. Pitt also has The Riders in development as both actor and producer.
