- Tyler Cameron was called the wrong name by Derek Hough during judging on the premiere of *DWTS*.

- The season 35 star was referred to as “Dylan” instead of “Tyler.”

- Cameron seemed to brush off the name snafu as Hough didn’t seem to notice his mistake.

Tyler Cameron is most likely feeling exhilarated and very confused after completing his first dance on season 35 of *Dancing With the Stars*.

*The Bachelorette* alum and his pro partner, Sharna Burgess, danced a tango on Tuesday night to “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz. “I don’t want to look so robotic out there. I want to feel smooth,” Cameron said in his intro package before he and Burgess lit up the dance floor with an impressive showing right out of the gate.

But, it appears Cameron might not yet be a household name.

Judge Bruno Tonioli told Cameron he “can move, man” and has “a natural musicality,” while Carrie Ann Inaba gave the home renovator solid critiques. “I am beyond impressed, that was amazing,” she said. “You have a commanding performance, lean into it.”

When it was Derek Hough’s turn, however, he immediately traveled back to the past... without even knowing it.

“Dylan, you have this Patrick Swayze aura about you,” Hough told Cameron, whose name is, in fact, not Dylan. (Hough was likely thinking about last year’s contestant Dylan Efron. Might have been the abs!)

“You’re cool, masculine, just effortless,” Hough added of Dylan, errr, Tyler. “For me, the frame, aw mate, we got to expand it. Marrying your presence with the technique, the frame, the posture, you’re going to be fantastic.”

Hough didn’t seem to notice his name snafu, but viewers sure did, quickly taking to social media to call out the moment.

Earlier this month, Cameron spoke to * *about being a contestant on the show following the cast announcement, admitting Burgess was “a dream of a partner.”

“I want someone who’s hard, who’s going to whip me into shape, and she is doing all that and more. She’s crushing it,” Cameron told EW.

He’ll be competing for the mirrorball against the likes of Taylor Hanson, Jenna Dewan, Julia Stiles, Harry Shum Jr., Tatyana Ali, Giada De Laurentiis, Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Sarah Jane Nader, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jackson Olson, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Conner Leavitt, and Connor Wood.

Cameron said that he was most nervous to impress Tonioli on the judges’ panel.

“Bruno?” Burgess questioned. “Honey, just take off your shirt, you’ll be all right. Derek you’ll want to impress [because] he’s like a technician,” she added. “He really knows what it’s about. But Carrie Ann wants the chemistry and the performance and the things. We honestly got to impress all of them.”

Maybe if Cameron impresses Hough further, he’ll remember his name!
