Authorities have announced the cause of death for Kelly Lee Curtis, the older sister of actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

The Blaine County Coroner’s Office in Idaho confirmed to *Us Weekly* that Kelly died at 69 of natural causes. The office also shed light on her final days, stating that she had been receiving hospice care during the week prior to her death on May 30.

The coroner’s office added that Kelly is expected to be cremated and that her husband, John Marsh, was present when officials arrived at her home.

Jamie announced Kelly’s death in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“A warm aloha to my older sister, Kelly Lee Curtis," she wrote. "She passed away this morning. In her home. In nature. At peace."

The *Halloween* actress wrote that Kelly “will be remembered for her loving generosity, fierce opinions, endless curiosity, unique style, and her powdered, almond, crescent cookies at Christmas, hence her name, Auntie Cookie.”

She also shared that her older sister would sign off all of her messages with the Hungarian blessing “Isten Veled,” which means “God is with you.”

“Isten Veled to my sister of the sun and the moon, my Tai,” she concluded. “I’ll see you on down the line."

Jamie has continued to pay tribute to her sister on social media, sharing meaningful memories from throughout their lives as well as publishing her obituary. A Skidmore College graduate, Kelly worked as an actress in New York City before making the move to Bellevue, Idaho, and cofounding her own independent production company called Liberty Films with her husband, John.

The obituary also spotlighted Kelly's philanthropic work, noting that she and her father, Tony Curtis, helped raise funds to refurbish the Dohàny Street Synagogue in Budapest, Hungary.

“She lived a life of generosity, service and a deep love of natural beauty and was dedicated to her family and Pokémon Go,” the obituary read.

It continued, “She was affectionally known as 'Auntie Cookie' and is survived by her husband John, her sisters, Jamie, Alexandra, Allegra and their brother Benjamin as well as her nieces and nephews, Annie, Ruby, Elisabeth, Dido, Helena, Raphael, Nicholas, Jacob and Kristopher and grand nieces and nephews, Calum, Rory, Alistair and Isaac and her stepmother, Leslie Curtis.”
