Savannah Guthrie's colleagues are celebrating her strength as she returns to work.
On Monday, April 6, Savannah was back at the Today show desk for the first time in months amid the continued search for her mom, Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen Jan. 31.
In an Instagram post, Carson Daly praised Savannah's return, writing, "Words can’t describe how great it is to have our North Star @savannahguthrie back."
"She returned with her usual dose of grace, bravery & proficiency. We continue to pray for her & her family daily," Daly, 52, wrote.
Hoda Kotb similarly honored her longtime co-anchor as she returned to the desk. Kotb, who stepped in for Savannah in the weeks she was away amid the search for Nancy, shared a throwback photo of Savannah, 54, with her children, Vale and Charley, now 11 and 9, on Instagram. “With you xoxo," Kotb, 61, wrote in the caption.

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones also reflected on their colleague's return during the third hour of Today. Jones, 47, said it "felt like a homecoming" to have Savannah back, and Bush Hager, 44, said, "We have just embraced her with open arms. She said, ‘It is good to be home,' and we feel that sentiment a million times over."
"It’s so interesting because for most of us, you know, we’ve been doing this for decades, so there’s muscle memory involved, and then there’s also the reality of what’s happening," Jones said. "She’s such a professional, but also her heart is right there. I feel like we felt both this morning — we felt her heart. And also she’s so darn good."

Bush Hager praised Savannah as "the bravest" for making her return to the air. "She spoke at our church — I go to her church — she spoke at our church yesterday. If y’all have a second to look at it, it was the most beautiful message about Easter and faith and forgiveness," Bush Hager said.
Jones said she listened to her colleague's remarks on the way into work and that Savannah "has a way with words." She added, "She’s almost a poet in my mind, and so there’s honesty there, there’s intellect there, and there’s truth there."

Savannah kicked off the April 6 broadcast with her co-anchor Craig Mevlin, as she told viewers, "Welcome to Today on this Monday morning. We are so glad you started your week with us, and it's good to be home."
"Yes, it's good to have you back at home," Melvin replied, and Savannah said: "Well, here we go, ready or not. Let's do the news."
Melvin, 46, wrote on Instagram later, "Joy is her protest. And today, joy is ours too. Welcome back, Savannah."
