Brandi Carlile is still starstruck over her recent run-in with Carole King.

While recently crossing paths on the red carpet for the 2026 Grammy Awards over the weekend, Carlile documented the "surreal" moment the two singers shared together, while revealing that a collab might be in their imminent future.

Uploading photos of herself posing with King on the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 1, Carlile wrote via Instagram, "This was such a surreal moment," calling her conversation with the 83-year-old music legend, "the most grounding and soulful moment I've ever had on a red carpet for sure!"

"@caroleking asked to write music together 😭" Carlile, 44, added in her post. "I guess I’m going back to Idaho! I love my job ❤️"

King, who presented the award for Song of the Year at Sunday's Grammys ceremony, has lived in Idaho for many years, recording much of her later music there.

Fans of both Carlile and King are now awaiting the future collab between the two artists, with several users on Instagram predicting that the pair will definitely make "incredible music" together.

"I can’t wait to hear the magic!!!" one excited commenter wrote under Carlile's post.

Another added, "I can't imagine the goodness we are all in for 😍"

More fans called the two artists the "ultimate collab" and a "dream duo," with one user even saying Carlile and King are "destined" to create music together.

"two absolute queens," someone else wrote in the comments.

One user predicted, "This will be epic," while another added, "I can’t wait to see what comes of this!"

Another fan chimed in to say, "we should all start preparing ourselves now."
