The couple — who were last photographed together in January — met in 2015 while starring together in the Off Broadway play The Way We Get By. The following year, they reconnected on the set of the Shirley MacLaine film, The Last Word, and got engaged that September. Six months later, Sadoski revealed the two had eloped.

“We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” the actor said on The Late Late Show With James Cordenin March 2017. “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”
Days after the marriage news, the newlyweds announced they were officially a family of three following the birth of their daughter, Nina. In 2020, their son Thomas Jr. was born.
Twenty-four hours before announcing her separation, Seyfried was busy promoting prison thriller The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd at the Toronto Film Festival (where she posed with an adorable puppy at EW’s TIFF 2026 Portrait Studio).

Seyfried made it a point to involve Nina and Thomas Jr. in the family passion project.
“I can see them learning what a responsibility and treat it is to care for pets, even at their young ages,” she told Forbes in 2024. “I think all pets give us purpose. And because they do so much to enrich our lives, we are responsible for theirs — which includes managing their health and wellness.”
In the same interview, Seyfried admitted relocating to the Catskills “was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does.”
